No More Manatees at SeaWorld California
I’ve been informed that the last of the Manatees from SeaWorld California have now been successfully transferred back to Florida this weekend. While the fate of the former Manatee attraction is currently unknown, apparently the rumor of turning it into another Shark’s Underwater Grill have not gone away. They could be waiting until the new Blue Horizons show is in the can before making a final decision about the fate of the former Manatee attraction. More when we find out…

San Diego Wild Animal Park expands ‘Journey Into Africa’ tour
Construction is winding down and animals are beginning to populate four new habitats along the “Journey Into Africa” tram tour at San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park.
The new African animal exhibits have been added to the first third of the 30-minute tour as part of a $4-million expansion.
Among the additions:
* More than 150 flamingos have moved into a new five-acre exhibit with a pond and a beach.
* Soemmering’s gazelles and yellow-backed duikers (medium-sized antelope) are now living in the half-acre hillside exhibit. Southern steenboks (small antelope) are expected to move in later this week.
* Wattled cranes, yellow-billed storks and Egyptian geese were recently relocated to a half-acre marsh exhibit. Lappet-faced vultures and Ruppell’s vultures will join them soon.
* Somali wild asses and Barbary sheep will take up residence in a five-acre rocky desert exhibit beginning in April.

New procedures for Tilikum at Sea World
Here you are a new video of a normal working day for Tilikum's trainers. The new policies that have been introduced are obviously focused on the trainers' safety. May an accident like that never happen again.

Wildlife Discovery Excursion
Jack from "The World According to Jack" recently posted an in-depth article on a special safari adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom called Wildlife Discovery Excursion. This adventure is only available to guests staying in a concierge room (Club Level) at any Disney World resort and is very limited. Brochure and Park Map Spotlight: Zoo America
Hersheypark admission also includes entry into ZOOAMERICA, an adjacent zoo. Also adjacent is Hershey's Chocolate World, a visitors' center that is open to the public and that contains shops, restaurants, and a chocolate-themed ride. Both Chocolate World and ZOOAMERICA are accessible from outside the park boundaries, with Chocolate World offering admission for free.
The park features only animals from North america but hey, the air sometimes smells like chocolate!
